Grapey pen device Nicotine Salt in Bristol: the best shortlist
Grapey in Bristol: 22 units tested over 9 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Coil life, liquid cost and the grapey habit
Most people searching Nicotine Salt in Bristol are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
We run grapey the same way in Bristol: same pen device, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long grapey tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a grapey pen device really costs in Bristol
Grapey prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.52 per 10 ml.
How we tested grapey in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every grapey bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Stock depth: 22 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a grapey bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
The rules that apply here
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Wholesale lines to the UK need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does grapey taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the grapey blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should grapey start at?
Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On grapey the budget price and the premium price can sit within £2.52 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
