Sour squonk mod Nicotine Salt in Bristol: the price shortlist
Sour in Bristol: 10 units tested over 5 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
What sour costs in Bristol
Sour in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
A sour squonk mod from the value options in Bristol costs about £1.77 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 10 units, squonk mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sour squonk mod really costs in Bristol
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £1.77 per 10 ml.
How we tested sour in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where sour goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £57 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £1.77 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should sour start at?
Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
How long does sour in a squonk mod last?
In Bristol we measured 5 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
