Licorice in Bristol: 19 units tested over 9 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
What licorice costs in Bristol
Licorice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.76 per 10 ml.
Licorice in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: licorice in Bristol works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a licorice squonk mod really costs in Bristol
Licorice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.76 per 10 ml.
How we tested licorice in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a licorice bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every licorice bottle shipped into Bristol.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £68 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.76 per 10 ml.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to the UK need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
